Docto24 is a South African telemedicine platform that connects patients with HPCSA- registered doctors who can review cases and, where clinically appropriate, authorise access to medical cannabis under SAHPRA Section 21.
Mission
Bringing a regulated pathway within reach
South Africa has a legal pathway for medical cannabis access — SAHPRA Section 21 — but most patients don’t know how to use it, and most clinics don’t make the cost or the process clear. Docto24 exists to shorten that distance.
We do not influence the clinical decision. We do not hold medication. We do not mark up product. We do one thing: make a compliant pathway visible, fast, and affordable for patients who are eligible — and clearly explain when they are not.
What we do
Our role
- Run a structured clinical questionnaire and route it to a HPCSA-registered doctor.
- Facilitate the doctor’s independent prescribing decision via secure telemedicine.
- Submit the SAHPRA Section 21 application on the patient’s behalf.
- Route approved prescriptions to the licensed partner pharmacy the patient chooses.
What we don’t do

- We don’t prescribe. Doctors do — independently.
- We don’t hold or sell medication. Pharmacies dispense.
- We don’t mark up product. The pharmacy sets and collects the price.
- We don’t answer clinical questions outside the consultation.
