Schedule 0
OTC category in South Africa; allows low-dose CBD under Gazette 43347 conditions.
Schedule 0 is the over-the-counter tier of South African medicine scheduling. Low-dose CBD (≤600 mg per pack, ≤20 mg per dose) falls into Schedule 0 under the terms of Government Gazette 43347 (2020), provided the product is sold for general-health claims only. Therapeutic-level CBD — doses relevant for seizure control or clinical anxiety management — sits outside this carve-out and requires Section 21 access.
